DIGITALLY REMASTERED EDITION TO BE RELEASED JANUARY 25, 2005!ALAPALOOZA
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE--Because of the extremely positive response caused by the announcement of a reissue of "Weird Al" Yankovic's Bad Hair Day, Volcano has another remastered Yankovic album due. Alapalooza, from 1993, may look like the Jurassic Park soundtrack, but it's not. In fact, original copies of the album sported a sticker warning consumers about this. You'll find a picture of this sticker, as well as other memorabilia involving Alapalooza in the 24-page booklet that comes with this release. The booklet also has lyrics to all the songs, previously unpublished photographs, and a short essay by Brian May (of Queen) about the song "Bohemian Polka."
As the Bad Hair Day remaster was rushed in order to meet demand, Volcano was unable to include any multimedia on the release. Not so for Alapalooza, as well as any future remasters. When you pop the Alapalooza remaster into your computer, you'll be able to watch two featurettes: The Creation of the Yankosaurus, featuring David Peters, and "Jurassic Park": The Making of the Video, an in-depth look at how one of Al's most popular music videos was made.
Are you drooling yet? If not, there's more: three bonus tracks have been added to the album - two of which are previously unreleased.
